How the three therapies work together
The name "Triple Fusion" comes from the three therapies that run in one session. Instead of using a heating pad, then a massage cushion, then a back stretcher, the SmoothSpine triple fusion back massager does all three while you lie still and relax.
| Therapy | What it does | What you feel |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Soothing heat | Gently warms the lower back muscles | Comfortable warmth that helps you unwind |
| 2. Kneading massage | Works across the lumbar area where tension builds | Rhythmic pressure on tight spots |
| 3. Gentle lumbar traction | The curved shape lets the lower spine stretch as you lie back | A slow, gentle opening of the lower back |

What's new in version 2.0
Version 2.0 refines the original SmoothSpine idea: one curved device you lie on that warms, massages and gently stretches your lower back at the same time. The goal is simple — a calm, 15-minute routine you can do at home instead of booking appointments or wrestling with bulky equipment.
- Three therapies in one session instead of three separate gadgets.
- A curved shape that supports the natural arch of your lower back.
- Simple controls designed to be easy to use, even without your glasses.
- Compact enough to store under a bed or in a closet.
Who the Triple Fusion Massager is for
Most of our customers are adults who feel stiffness in their lower back at the end of the day: office workers, drivers, nurses, tradespeople, gardeners and active retirees. If you want a relaxing, drug-free way to unwind your back at home, it's built for you.
It is not a medical device and does not treat or cure any condition. If you have a diagnosed spinal condition, recent surgery, a pacemaker or are pregnant, ask your doctor before using any heat or traction product. Read our safety and how-to-use guide.
Honest pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Heat, massage and traction in one device | Not a replacement for medical care |
| Use at home, no appointments | Needs a flat surface to lie on |
| 90-day money-back guarantee | Results vary between people |
| Much smaller than an inversion table | Best results need regular use |
How it compares to other options
Compared with a heating pad, SmoothSpine adds massage and a gentle stretch. Compared with an inversion table, it keeps you lying flat on the floor or bed — no hanging upside down. Compared with regular massage or chiropractor visits, it costs less than a few sessions and is available any evening. See the full SmoothSpine vs inversion table comparison and our back stretcher guide.
How to use it in 4 simple steps
- Place the massager on a firm bed, sofa or the floor with a mat.
- Sit down, then slowly lie back so the curve sits under your lower back.
- Press the buttons to turn on heat and massage, then relax for about 15 minutes.
- When finished, roll onto your side before getting up.
Start with shorter sessions in the first week. Full instructions are in how to use SmoothSpine.
